When distance or uncertainty begins to feel like an emergency
Someone does not reply.
Their tone changes.
They ask for space, seem distant, or become difficult to read.
Suddenly, you are replaying the conversation, checking your phone, searching for signs, explaining, apologizing, asking for reassurance, hiding what you need, or preparing to withdraw.
These responses do not mean you are needy, irrational, or broken.
They are protective strategies.
But in trying to avoid being abandoned, you may begin abandoning your own body, needs, limits, and experience.
Your fear of abandonment is not the actual problem.
The problem is everything you do to avoid feeling that fear.
This practice helps you create enough space to hold the fear without being overwhelmed by it.
From there, you can make room for the natural human need for closeness, reassurance, and care, without abandoning yourself in the process.
This may be
for you if:
You spend hours replaying conversations and wondering whether you said something wrong.
You monitor messages, online activity, tone of voice, or changes in another person’s behavior.
You can easily sense what other people feel or need but struggle to recognize what is happening inside you.
You ask for reassurance repeatedly, but the reassurance does not last.
You say yes when you want to say no, hide your needs, or organize yourself around someone else.
You explain, apologize, pursue, criticize, control, or withdraw when you sense distance.
You understand your patterns intellectually but still find yourself repeating them.
You want something more practical than another explanation of why you are this way.
What you
receive
A 30-minute guided somatic meditation
A structured practice to help you slow down the moment of activation, notice what is happening beneath the story, and stay connected to yourself without forcing the emotion away.
- Work with fear at the level of direct experience—in the body, in the present
- Build steadiness in moments of activation
- Return to support when you need it most
A PDF integration workbook
The workbook helps you understand the pattern, prepare for the meditation, reflect on what arises, and begin bringing the practice into everyday life.
- How fear of abandonment becomes self-abandonment
- How to work with difficult emotions without overwhelming yourself
- How to notice what is happening in your body before reacting
- How to offer support to the frightened or younger parts of you
- How to apply the practice in real-life moments
What may become
possible over time
With repetition, this practice can begin to change how you meet fear, uncertainty, and disconnection.
You may become more able to:
Notice what is happening before you react
Feel the emotion without getting lost in the story about it
Stay with uncertainty a little longer
Meet fear with less shame and self-judgment
Recognize your needs beneath your habitual behaviors
Stay connected to yourself when someone pulls away
Create more choice between the trigger and what you do next
Recover quicker after difficult moments
What this
practice is NOT
It is not a
quick fix
One meditation will not undo years of conditioning, attachment patterns, or protective strategies.
It offers a way to begin meeting those patterns differently.
It is not
positive thinking
You will not be asked to replace difficult thoughts with affirmations or convince yourself that everything is fine.
The practice begins with what is actually happening.
It is not about
forcing emotion
You do not need to enter the most painful memory you have or remain with discomfort continuously.
You can slow down, pause, return to support, or stop.
It is not another
framework for
analyzing yourself
Understanding your history can be useful, but insight alone often does not change what happens in the moment.
This is an embodied practice – not another theory about your attachment style.
It is not about
becoming
completely
independent
You are not supposed to stop needing love, reassurance, closeness, or belonging.
The purpose is to stop abandoning yourself in the pursuit of them.
It is not therapy
or crisis support
This meditation and workbook are educational resources for personal reflection and embodied practice.
They are not a substitute for individualized psychological, medical, or crisis support.
Created from lived practice
This product grew from the central practice I taught in my live Stop Abandoning Yourself workshop.
I later recorded the process as one continuous 30-minute meditation and created a workbook to help you understand the pattern, prepare for the practice, and bring it into daily life.
The meditation was recorded in one continuous take, without a script or cuts, guided from direct familiarity with the process.
The workbook is not generic AI-generated content assembled around this topic. It reflects a process I know, practice, and guide.
You can move through it privately, at your own rhythm, and return whenever the pattern becomes active again.

Sergey Ivanov
SOMATIC AND PLANT MEDICINE PRACTITIONER
I guide others on the path toward authenticity and embodied presence.
For the last 15 years, I have walked a deep journey of self-exploration – studying plant medicine, mysticism, indigenous worldviews, eastern spiritual traditions, somatic psychology, and the nervous system.
My work is not theoretical. It is shaped entirely by my own steps in healing severe anxiety, depression, and self-abandonment. Every single teaching and practice I offer is rooted in my direct life experience.
Your fear may still arise.
But you do not have to abandon yourself when it does.
Learn to recognize the moment you begin leaving your body, your needs, or your truth.
Stay present with what you feel.
And take practical steps towards integrating your fear of abandonment.

What if I feel numb or do not notice much?
That does not mean you are doing it incorrectly.
Some people notice clear sensations, memories, or emotional shifts. Others experience something subtle, feel resistance, or notice very little at first.
Embodied self-awareness can develop gradually through repetition.
